If you're 31, and your character, mathematician Charlie Eppes, is the same age, isn't he about 103 in mathematician years? I hear they tend to peak early.
Charlie is older than I am. He turned 30, like, season three, so he's about 33. He is getting up there. Last year, Charlie came to the conclusion that he can't live for what's expected of him. He can only live day-today and do the best he can, be the best person he can and go with the flow of it all. And, Charlie has finally popped the question to girlfriend and fellow math expert Amita. Does that indicate a change in attitude?
Yeah, it's comparable to myself, because I spent the first 12, 13 years of my career being absolutely and totally career-obsessed, career-minded, and life always just seemed to get in the way of the priorities. I know I've claimed this ground in my career, and that's good enough for me now. So it's allowed me to focus on my life.
