SANTA A SUCCESS

Saturday's Santa Claus Parade was among the most successful ever, and not just because of the glorious weather, organizers say.

This year's parade featured 68 floats, plus the last and most important one carrying Santa. Organizers estimate close to 45,000 spectators took in the parade and more than 2,000 participated in the Santa Watch Party at Market Square before the parade. Spectators also enjoyed a 15-minute long fireworks display at the conclusion of the parade.

On Dec. 1, Downtown Sudbury will announce the winners of the various parade categories.
