The playoffs were held over the weekend in the oldest existing slo pitch league "The Sudbury Industrial Slo Pitch League (1974-2009). After round robin play both Auto Depot and Feilding Colts wound up tied with 2 wins, no losees and a tie. The points differential gave Auto Depot first place by 6 runs.

Your imagination about the negativity of Brantford parenting has been exaggerated. I don't think lying is the answer. The Joe MacDonald Youth Football League will be accepting registrations for children aged 8 to 15 (boys and girls) on June 3rd from 16:30 to 20:00 at Skater's Edge Source for Sports on Lasalle Blvd. Registrations will also continue to be accepted via Canada Post but the in-person registration will be your last chance to pay the reduced fee schedule.

Home grown golfer, Michael Gonko has qualified to play in the Professional Division of the Moe Norman Cup Golf Tournament on October 6 and 7 at the Brantford Golf and Country Club. The Moe Norman Cup is the prestigious championship tournament for the Great Lakes Professional Golf Tour. The professional division of the tournament hosts the top 30 professional golfers in order of merit from the 2009 season.

Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin received a grant from the Ontario Trillium foundation and is able to pay for a total of 7 people to take two coaching courses in return for 40 hours of volunteer service over the course of one year in our adaptive sports program. We currently have adaptive curling, skiing, rowing, and sailing - for our members with disabilities.

TRIPLE GOLD Karolyne Blain and Joshua Demore have won a Triple Gold in badminton this year. This senior mixed team from Ecole secondaire Macdonald-Cartier took gold at SDSSAA, then gold at NOSSA in Sault Ste-Marie and finally gold at OFSAA C flight. The best 36 mixed teams of Ontario met in Stratford from May 6 to 8 where Karolyne and Joshua lost 2 and won 5 matches to take gold.
