The Crown closed its case on April 18 and the defence said it will not call any witnesses.

Stinson, 27, is facing three counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Jamie-Lynn Rose, Guy (Popcorn) Henri and Jasmine Somers.

The Crown says Stinson arranged for David Cheff’s Bruce Avenue to be firebombed early on April 11, 2021.

He is facing three counts of first-degree murder, plus one count of causing damage by fire to a dwelling house causing bodily harm,

Cheff was injured in the arson but survived.

The trial heard evidence from about 15 Crown witnesses including the two men who set the fire using two Molotov cocktails just before 5 a.m. April 11, 2021.

The trial started on March 19 and is scheduled to go seven weeks.
